The Sindi Beetle Juice Abaya is full of rhythm, warmth, and individuality — a piece that feels both deeply rooted in tradition and joyfully expressive.

Named after the homeland of the fabric itself, Sindh, the abaya celebrates the artistry of traditional Pakistani Ajrak block printing — a craft preserved through generations of patient, skilled hands. Rich red cotton unfolds in intricate patterns alive with movement and history, while contrasting striped cotton brings an unexpected sense of playfulness and character to the piece.

There is an energy that feels instinctive and vibrant, yet still grounded in AYWA’s quiet, thoughtful approach to dressing. The mix of pattern and stripe creates a beautiful tension between heritage and modernity — bold without ever feeling loud, expressive while remaining timeless.

Crafted entirely from natural cotton, the abaya is breathable, soft, and comforting. The silhouette drapes with ease, designed for movement and everyday wear, allowing the craftsmanship and textile story to remain at the centre of the garment.

Every detail is approached slowly and intentionally. Before production begins, the cotton is delicately hand washed using salt and vinegar to help preserve the richness of the natural dyes — an old-world process that reflects AYWA’s care for both fabric and craft. The cloth is then line dried and carefully prepared by hand before being transformed into its final form.

Natural irregularities within the weave and print are embraced as part of the beauty of artisan-made textiles — reminders of the human hands and traditions carried within every piece.

Note: This abaya is an exclusive design, hand crafted and one-off piece - made to order.

Care: Hand wash at 30% using a mild detergent.  Line dry. Medium iron. 

What we did: All the materials used have been hand selected carefully for their high quality and character. Prior to production, the cotton has had a delicate hand wash with salt and vinegar to lock in the dyes. The fabric is then line dried and then checked thoroughly. This process takes 24 hours to ensure the cloth is ready to be turned into your beautiful abaya.

Any imperfections are natural characteristics of the materials and not considered as faults, but the beauty of the artisans' craftsmanship. 

Lead time: This product is handmade to order with a production lead time of up to 3 weeks.  We liaise with you directly when creating your personal and beautiful piece, so the production time starts from once you have finalised the details with our team.
