The Anglesey Abbey carries the quiet grandeur of the British countryside in winter — timeless, protective, and rich with texture.

Inspired by long walks through historic estates and the stillness of old abbey gardens beneath grey skies, the piece is crafted from olive green tweed wool in a classic windowpane check, blended with soft lambswool for warmth and comfort. The fabric holds a beautiful structure while remaining gentle in movement, wrapping the body with a sense of ease and quiet refinement.

There is something deeply nostalgic about tweed — a cloth woven into British heritage itself. In the Anglesey Abbey, it feels softened and reimagined: modest, intentional, and quietly elegant. Cotton corduroy sleeve facings reveal themselves subtly with movement, while handmade buttonholes and carefully sourced vintage buttons bring depth and individuality to every piece.

The silhouette feels both practical and romantic, designed for colder seasons and slower living. Internal pockets and an accompanying belt lend functionality without disrupting the softness of the garment, allowing it to move effortlessly between everyday wear and moments that feel more ceremonial.

What we did: We have have specially hand selected all the components for this abaya and we fell in love with the play of different textures.  We are so proud to handcraft the buttonhole in-house.  

Made to order: This product is handmade to order with a production lead time of up to 3 weeks.  We liaise with you directly when creating your personal and beautiful piece, so the production time starts from once you have finalised the details with our team.  

Care: Dry-clean only. Medium iron or steam.
